Nuclear Hotseat ("we," "us," "our") respects your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect when you visit nuclearhotseat.com or subscribe to our emails, how we use it, and the choices you have.

Nuclear Hotseat is the weekly anti-nuclear news podcast produced and hosted by Libbe HaLevy. Questions about this policy can go to info@nuclearhotseat.com.

Information we collect

Information you give us

Newsletter signup. When you join our mailing list we collect your first name (optional) and email address.
Contact form. When you write to us through the site we collect your name, email address, and the message you send.

Information collected automatically

Server and security logs. Our host records standard technical data such as IP address, browser type, and pages requested. This is used to operate and secure the site.
Cookies and site analytics. We load Google Analytics only if you accept analytics cookies through our consent banner. Your cookie choices are stored in your own browser. See "Cookies" below.
Podcast download analytics. Audio downloads are measured through OP3 (op3.dev), an open, privacy-focused podcast analytics service that produces aggregate, anonymized statistics.

We do not knowingly collect sensitive personal information, and we do not run comments, user accounts, or logins on this site.

To send the weekly episode email and the free book excerpt you requested.
To respond to messages you send through the contact form.
To understand how the site is used and improve it, where you have consented to analytics.
To operate, maintain, and secure the website.

Who we share information with

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with the service providers that run the site, and only as needed:

Cloudflare — website hosting and edge security.
Supabase — stores newsletter subscribers.
Resend — delivers our newsletter, welcome, and reply emails.
Google Analytics — website usage measurement, loaded only with your consent.
OP3 — anonymized podcast download analytics.
Sanity — content management (stores site content, not visitor personal data).

Podcast episodes are also distributed through third-party apps (for example Apple Podcasts and Spotify) via our public RSS feed. Those platforms handle your data under their own policies.

These providers are located in the United States. If you access the site from outside the US, your information may be transferred to and processed there.
